Artist statement:

I am currently focusing on a theme which relates to observational studies from our natural environment. The imagery which is recorded in my skechbook is the matrix of my work.

The observations have a deep rooted-ness in the landscape and the interconnectedness with geographical areas of the west coast of Scotland and Cornwall.

The work investigates atmospheric phenomena that come from forces of nature, and the changes these elements make to the land, sea and sky. Imagery captured in the sketches is developed through watercolour painting, printmaking and drawing. The unified compositions lead the viewer to project their own interpretations of the work.
